Dear Mr. Kitchens,
My husband and I recently made our yearly pilgrimage to Kilgore for the Texas Shakespeare Festival. We were delighted to see your Twelfth Night painting! Twelfth Night has been my favorite TSF show these last four years. Danny Brown, the Director of Patron Services, was kind enough to tell me who the artist was and suggested I send you a note. I found your website but was disappointed to discover no further information on it, or even a photo. I’d love to know more about the painting. Danny said you only recently completed it.
Thank you for the kind comment. I loved the play when Micah Goodding played Moldovio. He was so funny, strutting out on stage with those ribbons. The work is oil on board and large- about 4 foot tall by 8.6 foot wide. Maybe larger with the wood frame. It currently does not have a final home, and I am moving it around. The Dean of the Longview Center wants it to display, but I am on the look out for another patron enlarging their collection. If you are interested in a print, I could contact a photographer for a price, or if you might consider purchase, the work would be 2500 dollars, and you would need to plan to move it, if you live a distance away.
